DRAMA TUTOR
The drama classes at MAD About Talent are based heavily on devised theatre and encourages students to indulge their imagination when creating stories. We work primary in small groups of four to develop improvisation skills and students are prompted to write down their ideas at every stage of development. Our drama mantra is this: everything is about the story–the beginning, the middle, and the end. This helps the students stay focused and structure their story planning. Students learn lines and plot the good old fashion way, by rote–learning by doing, learning by rehearsing, and learning without a script. By learning in this way, students that may have learning difficulties or those who may not feel comfortable reading are not penalised. This is just one of the ways we work to ensure our classes are inclusive and effective for all of our students.
